Toyota School Road Safety Campaign
Indus Motor Company is actively involved in improving Road Safety in Pakistan. Our research has shown that a very high number of road traffic accidents involve children. Therefore, one of the main objectives of our initiatives is to educate our young population about Road Safety and safe driving.
IMC launched the Toyota Road Safety campaign at schools in early 2007, in partnership with WWF. The activity has been a huge success with 65 schools and 23,000 children directly benefiting from this program. We have received letters from schools, parents and students appreciating the campaign.
As a culmination of the first phase of this initiative, IMC held a prize distribution ceremony at the Indus Motor Plant on November 24, 2007 to award prizes to the winners of the Road Safety quizzes conducted at participating schools. The parents and the school principals attended the ceremony and were also given a plant tour.
